Lindum Homes is a leading Lincolnshire house builder and part of the well-established construction company Lindum Group Ltd based in North Hykeham, near Lincoln.

UK Alternative Energy were contacted by Lindum Homes and Brook & Mayo Electrical & Maintenance Contractors as one of three Solar PV specialist installers to price for an upcoming build called Langton Green.

Langton Green located off Albion Close in Lincoln, these thirteen modern, energy efficient homes are the first to be built to Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes in Lincoln.

These 3 & 4 bedroom homes required 4 different Solar PV designs to fit each roof type. We installed five 2.5kw, two 3kw, four 3.5kw and two 4kw systems.

How the new home owners will benefit

Below are the annual financial benefits from the Feed in Tariff, Saving on Electricity and Export to the National Grid for each house type*:

 Brandon (Type B)  £528.99 pa
 Edmonton (Type C)  £739.50 pa
 Leyton (Type D)  £846.48 pa
 Milton (Type E)  £634.74 pa


Once the new home owners move in and register for FIT payments these payments are Government Guaranteed for 20 years, Tax Free and Index Linked.
