Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground Source Heat Pumps for new builds

Heat your home for free! Using the earths natural heat.

Are you exploring the options for your self builds heating requirements?

An alternative to Air Source Heat Pump to provide your heating & hot water needs for the home. Like Air Source, Ground Source uses a renewable, free energy source. This time instead of air, the sun’s heat is collected from the ground. For the ground loop, your garden needs to be 2-3 times larger than the floor area of your property.

Send us your plans for a FREE no obligation quotation. As a result, we will perform a heat load calculation to size a ground source heat pump to meet the heat demand of your home.

A professional, local service based in Lincoln as well as Lincolnshire’s longest serving MCS accredited Renewable Energy company.

Enjoy the benefits

  • Receive up to £4,500 per year for 7 years tax-free with the Governments Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Payments*
  • Fixed quarterly payments
  • Reduced fuel bills, especially if you are replacing oil, coal, LPG or direct electric
  • Not reliant on fuel deliveries
  • Reduced carbon emissions
  • Nothing visible from the outside of the property
*RHI payments will only be applicable if this build is a self-build for yourself or a ‘custom-built’ property where you have been contracted by the individual to build this property for them.

How it works

A ground source heat pump works by moving heat that’s collected from the ground via a circulating loop of glycol (antifreeze). This then passes through a compressor that raises it to a higher temperature, which can then heat water for the heating and hot water circuits of the house. The cooled ground-loop fluid passes back into the ground where it absorbs further energy from the ground in a continuous process as long as heating is required.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING AND RADIATORS

Pairing a Heat Pump with Underfloor Heating and/or Radiators is a winning combination. Whatever the vision for your home, consider your heating options early on as this will give you the freedom to choose the solution that best suits your home, as well as maximise your home’s eco credentials. We design wet underfloor heating systems and correctly-specified convector radiators that comply with the heat demand for your home and each individual room.
