About The Project

Tank Size: 13,000 litres Savings (litres per annum): 260,000 litres

The new Linwave Technology facility is a modern fully air-conditioned building located on the South West outskirts of Lincoln.  The new building was a bespoke project by Stirlin Developments who worked closely with Linwave Technology and architects during the design and development stage.  The opportunity was identified for integration of a rainwater harvesting system specifically to collect and service the volume of water required for all the toilets in the building.

Following successful installations in the past, Stirlin again enlisted the specialist renewable energy services of UK Alternative Energy. Following a survey, we calculated the volume of water required for toilet flushing would require a 13,000 litre rainwater harvesting system. The decision was taken to install a below ground rainwater storage system, delivering 260,000 litres of rainwater per annum, substantially reducing water bills and associated sewerage charges for Linwave Technology.
