The Problem

Combining older properties with innovative technology; these projects can present their own challenges, but none the UK Alternative Energy team shy away from. For this barn conversion in Bingham, the team was chosen to be the renewable energy specialist on-site; from the early stages of planning through to installation.

The Solution

The client of this project wanted to incorporate energy technologies that would improve the efficiency of the property and lower the cost of living. Following our consultation and design process, on looking at the proposals it was agreed that a 3.92 kWp Solar PV system, consisting of 14 in-roof flush panels for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, would be installed.

The Underfloor Heating system was also something the expert UK Alternative Energy team installed, which in turn was to be run by an Air Source Heat Pump alongside a MyEnergi Eddi hot water controller, technology that diverts surplus generated electricity from the Solar Panels to the immersion in the cylinder, providing free hot water and supporting the client’s goal of lowering the cost of living.
