Stuart Hardy wanted to start a sustainable journey in their business and show their caravan customers they were serious about reducing their energy consumption on the site.

They installed PV panels on the toilet block to help with their electric use and installed heat pumps to heat hot water and the underfloor heating system, removing the business’s reliance on Calor gas. This was a great project to work on, the fact that it was by the East Coast, and we all got to enjoy the fish and chips once the project was completed was the icing on the cake.

The Problem

Camping, you either love it, or you tolerate it – whichever fence you sit on though cold washrooms are almost guaranteed to make the camping experience less enjoyable. That midnight dash to the bathroom would definitely be made to feel like less of a nightmare if you knew you were headed to a toasty warm space.

The Solution

That’s exactly what UK Alternative Energy was brought in to do at Country Meadows Holiday Park in Ingoldmells. The site now has Solar PV panels and two Air Source Heat Pumps eco-friendly in their washrooms.

The Panasonic heat pumps provide eco friendly heating via the underfloor heating in the washrooms. So no more cold floors!
