The Project

Working with Lindum Homes on their development at Langton Green in Lincoln, we were able to achieve a milestone of the first Level 5 Sustainable Homes to be built in the city.

We’re super proud of this achievement, but more importantly the positive impact it’ll have on the home owners and the environment in Lincolnshire.

The Problem

Collaborating with a leading Lincolnshire house builder, part of the well-established construction company Lindum Group Ltd based in North Hykeham, to create the first energy-efficient homes to be built to Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes in Lincoln.

The Solution

An incredible opportunity for UK Alternative Energy, we were contacted by Lindum Homes and Brook & Mayo Electrical & Maintenance Contractors as one of three Solar PV specialist installers to price for an upcoming build called Langton Green.

Located off Albion Close in Lincoln, the thirteen modern, energy-efficient homes on site were to become the first to be built to Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes in Lincoln.

Comprising of 3 and 4 bedroom homes, four different Solar PV designs were required to fit each roof type. The team installed five 2.5 kWp, two 3 kWp, four 3.5 kWp and two 4 kWp systems.
