The Problem
Having had a Sanyo Air Source Heat Pump installed by a national company in 2009/10, this customer was left out in the cold when his heat pump stopped working and he was unable to make contact with the installers. An all too common occurrence in this industry, the UK Alternative Energy team was able to pick up this project following the manufacturer’s recommendation.
The Solution
In 2009 Sanyo was a subsidiary of Panasonic (which later became wholly owned by Panasonic in 2011). Prior to becoming our customer, Mr Williams contacted Panasonic directly for their support. The Air Source Heat Pump team at Panasonic offered Mr Williams a discounted replacement if installed by a local Panasonic Pro Partner and so, passed him our details.
By the end of May 2018, we had fully upgraded this customer’s heating system with a new Panasonic heat pump and as a happy customer, he returned three months later for support on upgrading his Solar PV system. Again, unfortunately for the customer, this system was installed poorly by a national company that didn’t use the correct mounting system for an in-roof system. Thankfully, the UK Alternative Energy team was able to return to the customer, install the correct mounting system and upgrade his inverter to a SolarEdge Optimisation system. Smiles all round.
