It’s amazing when customers become friends.

Being a farmer, Leonard wanted to explore an alternative income to the farm. Installing a 50 kWp ground mount system saw him receive a FIT payments which give him high returns on his investment and allowed him to maximise an area of land that he cant farm on. Ever since this installation Leonard has become a friend and we still keep in contact.

The Problem

Delivering an on-farm solution to reduce electricity bills and CO2 emissions.

The Solution

During this project, White House Farm was growing first and second winter wheat, along with winter oilseed rape. Following the installation of its Solar PV system, the sun’s power didn’t just play an important part in crop production, but the farm has been able to harness the energy from the sun to generate enough solar power to meet the farm’s annual electricity consumption.

The new ground-mounted system was installed using 204 Schott 240w solar panels in a configuration of 3 rows, each with 64 panels. The size of the system is 48.96 kWp, generating an annual 42,027 kW of solar generated power and also an impressive reduction of 22.2 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
