The Problem

This residential renewable energy project in Saxilby was designed to help the homeowner reduce electricity costs while improving the overall energy efficiency of the property. With energy prices continuing to rise, the homeowner wanted to invest in solar technology that could generate renewable electricity while also storing excess energy for use later in the day.

The property relied entirely on grid electricity, which meant energy bills were becoming increasingly expensive. The homeowner wanted a solution that would generate renewable electricity on site while also storing unused energy so it could be used during the evening when demand was higher.

The Solution

We designed and installed a 7.85 kW solar PV system using DMEGC solar panels with Solis inverter technology. To maximise the value of the solar generation, the system was paired with four Fox ESS LV5200 batteries providing 20.8 kWh of energy storage, allowing excess electricity to be stored and used later.

The installation now generates renewable electricity while storing excess solar energy for later use. This significantly reduces reliance on grid electricity and helps the homeowner lower energy bills while improving the sustainability of the property.
