The Problem

This new-build residential project in Sudbrooke was designed with sustainability and long-term energy efficiency at its core. The homeowners wanted to incorporate renewable technologies from the outset to ensure the property would benefit from lower energy costs and reduced environmental impact. By combining solar generation, battery storage, and low-carbon heating, the system provides a highly efficient and future-proof energy solution.

With energy prices continuing to rise, the property owners wanted to minimise reliance on grid electricity while ensuring their new home remained comfortable and efficient year-round. They were looking for an integrated renewable energy system capable of generating electricity, storing excess power, and providing low-carbon heating.

The Solution

We installed an 8.25 kW solar PV system using JA Solar panels and Solis inverter technology, combined with three Tesla Powerwall batteries providing 42 kWh of energy storage. The system also included a 21 kW air source heat pump installation using Samsung and Panasonic technology, delivering efficient renewable heating for the property.

The completed system now generates and stores renewable electricity while providing low-carbon heating. This significantly reduces reliance on grid energy, lowers running costs, and helps minimise the home’s carbon footprint.
