The Problem

Burgh Baptist Church in Burgh Le Marsh serves as an important community hub, hosting regular services, meetings, and events throughout the week. With increasing electricity costs affecting the operating budget, the organisation wanted to explore renewable energy solutions that could help reduce expenses while supporting sustainability.

Like many community organisations, the church faces ongoing operational costs for lighting, heating, and building maintenance. Electricity consumption was steadily increasing, and the organisation wanted a way to reduce energy bills while demonstrating environmental responsibility to its congregation and local community.

The Solution

Our team designed and installed a 10.23 kW solar PV system using JA Solar panels and a Solis inverter. The system was positioned to maximise daylight energy generation, ensuring that electricity produced during the day could be used to power lighting, equipment, and facilities within the building.

The church now generates a significant proportion of its electricity on site using renewable energy. This helps reduce operating costs while lowering the building’s environmental impact and supporting the organisation’s commitment to sustainability.
