The Problem

Lindum Group, a leading construction and development company based in Lincoln, wanted to improve the energy efficiency of its commercial premises while reducing long-term operational costs. As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable construction and responsible business practices, the organisation explored renewable energy technology that could generate electricity on site and lower the environmental impact of its operations.

Construction and commercial facilities often require significant electricity for offices, workshops, and operational infrastructure. Rising energy costs meant the company was looking for a solution that could reduce reliance on grid electricity while supporting its wider sustainability strategy and carbon reduction goals.

The Solution

Our team designed and installed a 254.99 kW solar PV system using Canadian Solar panels with Solis inverter technology. The system was engineered to maximise solar generation across the building’s available roof space while integrating seamlessly with the site’s electrical infrastructure.

The completed installation now generates a substantial amount of renewable electricity directly on site. This helps offset operational energy consumption, reduce electricity costs, and significantly lower the organisation’s carbon emissions while supporting its long-term sustainability objectives.
