The Problem

H W Coates Ltd in Bardney wanted to improve the energy efficiency of its commercial premises while reducing long-term electricity costs. With rising energy prices affecting many businesses, the company explored renewable energy technology that could generate electricity on site while supporting sustainability goals.

Commercial operations require significant electricity for equipment, lighting, and daily activities. Increasing energy costs meant the organisation needed a solution that could reduce reliance on grid electricity while improving the environmental performance of the business.

The Solution

Our team designed and installed a 57.29 kW solar PV system using JA Solar panels with Solis inverter technology. The system was carefully configured to maximise solar generation across the available roof space while integrating seamlessly with the building’s electrical systems.

The installation now generates renewable electricity directly at the site, helping offset operational energy consumption. This reduces electricity costs while lowering carbon emissions and supporting the company’s long-term sustainability strategy.
