The Problem

This new-build residential project in Grimsby was designed with energy efficiency and sustainability at its core. The homeowners wanted to create a modern property that would benefit from renewable energy generation, energy storage, and low-carbon heating technologies.

When building a new home, the owners wanted to avoid high long-term energy costs while ensuring the property would be environmentally responsible. They were looking for an integrated renewable energy system capable of generating electricity, storing excess power, and providing efficient heating.

The Solution

We installed a 23.04 kW solar PV system using JA Solar panels and SolarEdge technology, paired with three Tesla Powerwall batteries providing 42 kWh of energy storage. The system was complemented by two Stiebel Eltron WPF 13S ground source heat pumps, delivering highly efficient renewable heating for the home.

The completed system allows the property to generate, store, and utilise renewable energy efficiently. This provides exceptional energy independence, reduces reliance on grid electricity, and significantly lowers the home’s carbon footprint.
