The Problem

The University of Lincoln continues to invest in sustainable infrastructure across its campus, and the installation at the LSIP Building forms part of that wider commitment. With increasing energy demands across teaching and research facilities, the university wanted to explore renewable energy solutions that could reduce operational costs while supporting its environmental objectives.

University buildings often require significant electricity for lighting, laboratories, equipment, and teaching spaces. Rising energy costs meant the institution needed a solution that could generate clean electricity on site while helping reduce reliance on the national grid and lowering carbon emissions across the campus.

The Solution

Our team designed and installed an 18.37 kW solar PV system using Canadian Solar panels and SolarEdge inverter technology. The system was carefully configured to maximise energy generation from the building’s available roof space while integrating seamlessly with the university’s electrical infrastructure.

The installation now generates renewable electricity directly at the site, helping offset energy consumption for the building. This reduces operational energy costs while supporting the University of Lincoln’s long-term sustainability and carbon reduction goals.
