Alternative Energy Tech Used

The Problem

Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln wanted to improve the energy efficiency of its facilities while reducing operational electricity costs. As a busy leisure centre serving the local community, the organisation sought renewable energy solutions that could support sustainability while managing long-term running costs.

Leisure centres require significant electricity for lighting, fitness equipment, ventilation systems, and other facilities. Rising energy costs meant the organisation needed a solution that could reduce reliance on grid electricity while improving environmental performance.

The Solution

Our team designed and installed a 123.54 kW solar PV system using Jinko solar panels and Solis inverter technology, combined with eight PylonTech FH10050 batteries providing 41 kWh of energy storage. The system was engineered to maximise solar generation while allowing stored energy to be used during peak demand.

The installation now generates and stores renewable electricity for the leisure centre. This helps offset operational energy consumption, reduce electricity costs, and support the organisation’s sustainability goals.
